This was a haul and the miles listed on the signs are corrected by magic marker in a few places and it isn't 14.8 miles it 16+ miles. Another great day, our third in a row making our way NOBO. Big vistas, hot and humid and lots of careful steps on tired legs. I jogged up to Spruce Peak for the view, I had been there once a long while ago. I also did a short whack off the trail to tag the recognized summit of Morse Mountain, who knows when you might start collecting 3k peaks in Vermont. Sterling Mountain or Whiteface Mountain, whatever you want to call it my maps says Sterling and the signs read Whiteface and my new map too. We made it out before the severe Thunderstorms hit in the late afternoon, thankfully. on the drive home I saw rainbows on my left and scary lightning on my right. Thanks Liz for a fabulous 3 days. 50 miles to go.
