|Hiking Trail Conditions Report|
||Killington Peak, VT|
|Date of Hike:
||Sunday, September 29, 2019|
|Parking/Access Road Notes:
||Different traffic pattern for the K1 base area due to lodge construction. |
||Dry Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |
|Water Crossing Notes:
||None via this route. |
|Trail Maintenance Notes:
||Probably not a good idea due to mountain bikers, etc. |
|Lost and Found:
||Ascended hiking trail A, which is basically a bee line up the mountain alongside the gondola. Steep, but good footing. The hiking route on the Snowdon side is currently closed due to construction.|
Most of the ski slopes appear to be mowed. Snow guns already lined up and hosed for a potential October opening. Foliage in the basin is near peak and some nice color in the surrounding areas.
Brisk temperatures with a little wind up top, but still warm enough for just a shirt.
