Trail Maintenance Notes: At the water crossing before the halfway point, there is a tree down- just cross the river immediately before the usual crossing and you can meet up with the trail about 10 feet up the path. 
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: The area 1 mile above the trailhead becomes very icy. Once past the halfway point, it is almost impossible to proceed without microspikes. It may be challenging for dogs this time of year.

Comments
Comments: Only saw a pair of hikers during my whole up-and-down. The summit was completely socked in so no real views today. There was no need for snowshoes but I did use microspikes after the first falls and they were really needed once above the midway point.
