Ellen & Abe were my 72nd & 73rd peaks since the official start of winter and the ridge was by far the biggest mess of postholes I have encountered all year. Whoever did that...you should be ashamed of yourself. You could get away with spikes for the first 1.5-2 miles on Battell but after that snowshoes are the appropriate tool. |
