| Comments: |
Started hike wearing microspikes, but changed to snowshoes after about one mile. Wore snowshoes for the rest of the hike. Had to take care not to roll ankles in postholes and rough trail up to Cooper Lodge. No one had been on the Killington Spur, at least not after the last snow storm. Enjoyed snowshoeing up and down that steep section. No wind until the last 0.1 mile of hike. Strong wind and low windchill on summit. Limited views, but a beautiful hike all the same. Snowshoes will help pack trail. |
