| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Lots of parking at Wheelerville Road lot. We spotted a car at the Sherburne Trailhead and that was an even bigger lot, with plenty of spots available in the morning and afternoon. |

| Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Standing/Running Water on Trail |
|
| Recommended Equipment: |
|
|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
There were two nice wooden bridges for the water crossings as we ascended the Bucklin Trail. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trails are in good shape and well blazed. There was a moment of confusion as we stood at the sign for the Bucklin trail, right where the trail heads over the first bridge. I think one nice blue blaze right on the bridge would have spared us that 15 seconds of doubt. At Jungle Junction, we guessed that the missing sign probably said, "Jungle Junction" |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
we encountered one well behaved dog at Jungle Junction. |

| Comments: |
at the summit ski lift area of Pico we watched a thunderstorm headed right for us. As we descended it was raining harder and harder. We took shelter at the incredibly conveniently located Pico Camp. we ducked inside, narrowly escaping the hailstorm portion of the weather. We waited out the storm. A very grateful thank you to the folks who maintain the Pico Camp. |
