Comments
Comments: Was the first up the LT after the new snow. Surprisingly good coverage given the melt out that just occurred. Spikes were fine up to Taft, then switch to crampons for the rest of the way up the LT to the summit. Lots of ice/bare rock up the north ridge and it was pretty scratchy climbing. Coming down the profanity always amazes me how much snow piles up so quickly. A good amount of tripping crampons/spikes on rock but anywhere from 4-8” of new snow depending on elevation and drifting. Bummer about the rain but it’s still early in winter!
