|Hiking Trail Conditions Report|
||Mt. Abraham, VT|
||Battell Trail, Long Trail|
|Date of Hike:
||Saturday, March 13, 2021|
|Parking/Access Road Notes:
||The parking area across from the trailhead was full, we and several others used a turnout spot .01 miles before the trailhead.
The roads leading to the trailhead were "interesting". Frozen, muddy tracks made for slippery travel. My sedan bottomed out a few times. |
||Ice - Black, Snow/Ice - Frozen Granular, Snow/Ice - Postholes, Slush |
||Light Traction, Snowshoes |
|Water Crossing Notes:
|Trail Maintenance Notes:
||There were few well behaved dogs on the trail today having a good time. |
|Lost and Found:
||It was a beautiful clear day, lots of hikers out having fun. Most people wore spikes, a few in show shoes. The trail was mostly solid, some sections that get lots of sun were soft. However, the trail was postholed from the warm up earlier in the week, but we had no issues navigating the trail. |
