At the North Jay Pass I hiked 4.6 miles, a few yards north of the viewpoint and headed into the woods. Woods were fairly open at first, then became strewn with blowdowns and thick ferns. Close to the summit I hit a thick fir band and some ledges. I found the summit jar, signed in. I returned to the LT staying further to the east and avoided the fir bands and blowdowns. |
