Comments
Comments: Party of 2 and dog up to the true summit of Green Mountain via the Homer Stone Trail and Green Mountain Trail. The lower part of Homer Stone had little snow--some bare patches and up to 3" in other areas. On the ridge the depth was about 4" or so with some drift pockets. Little Rock Pond was frozen over. We broke trail to the summit ledges (all socked in) and I bushwhacked the additional 0.2 or so to the true summit where there is a register jar and a tiny view ledge. On the way back, we found a better brook crossing just slightly upstream of the trail, by a cabin, over a wide fallen log. Saw no one else on the trails.
