| Comments: |
In coming storm will likely require snowshoes, micro spikes and maybe crampons depending on how much rain is received on the back side of the storm.
Today there were two sections with wide heavy ice flow in the trail. Snow may cover this but we aware that it is underneath. The last .5 up to the Carriage Road junction is steep and had loose granular. Was doable in micro spikes going up. Did a fair amount of boot sliding coming down due to the loose nature of the snow pack. Everything else was well traveled. Good winter route, sheltered until the last climb up the cone. |
