 | Comments: |
The trail is now well broken out. Dave and I broke trail in about 6-8" of snow, ice on rocks starting at about 2,500 ft. Snowshoes got us to the summit. Views at the summit were spectacular, but the temperatures were hovering around 0 and wind drove us off the summit very quickly.
There is confusing milage signs and trail posts. Some signs/posts say 3.2 miles others 2.0 miles. When we returned to the parking lot GPS read 4 m. round trip. It sure felt like 3.2 m.
