Comments
Comments: Solo hike, VT3K. Escaped the blizzard by hiking in western VT where it was barely snowing at all but it was extremely cold. Did the traditional loop clockwise. Most of the route was packed out by snowmobiles but the footing was loose so I used snowshoes. I hiked over the summit of Myrick (not finding the jar or the viewpoint but finding the high point) then past the ridgetop hunting camp and as far as the Myrick-Spruce col, looking to see if there was a route broken out up Spruce; finding none I turned back and went down via the loop, passing by the "Miracle" camp. Off the snowmobile trail the snow was about 2' deep.
