| Comments: |
The Battell Trail was well packed down to the junction of the Long Trail. There were prints coming up from Lincoln Gap. It got choppier from the junction to just below the summit - fresh fluffy snow that didn’t really set. Beyond Abraham it was knee deep snow with thigh deep drifts. No one had been that way since the last storm (or two). Skiers had broken out sections of the trail between the two summits - stay on the hiking trail since some of the ski “trails†head down to the ski area. Only one set of snow shoe prints along the final section of the Long Trail and the Jerusalem Trail - didn’t see anyone so figure it was a back country skier who hiked up but didn’t hike down. |
