Went from the South Trailhead. Parking area on trailhead side can fit 10-15 cars, but there's a bigger one on the opposite side of the road. Both were pretty full when leaving at 2:30 PM. |

 | Comments: |
A hot day meant it was good to go north. This was my second visit to Willoughby gap, and I must say it is a truly unique place in New England. Make sure to go past the summit 0.3 miles to reach the North Trail ledges, as they are the most scenic on the mountain.
Not the best hike if you want solitude-although there were tons of interesting characters that made the hike enjoyable. Not all of these people seemed prepared to hike 1600-1700 ft of vertical however. |
