Excellent summer day for a loop hike…. Up halfway house trail to long trail… long trail to summit, then down sunset ridge trail…. Very scenic going down this trail… a quick visit to cantilever rock, then back to trailhead. Signs at parking leading you to trailhead…. Halfway house trail pretty steep but gets you to the ridge rather quickly, then views for the rest of the hike until you hit tree line going down sunset ridge trail. Summit very busy but found myself alone in long stretches throughout the hike. Parking fills up quickly on the weekend. |
