Comments
Comments: After parking at the end of the gated road, which was well maintained, we followed the road past the gate. The road turned into a whack and then logging roads filled with water and muck. We crossed over beaver dams and then began the climb to E. Beechnut, hung a summit jar at the HOL and then whacked into the col between E and W, Beechnut. We claimed the HOL on West, hung a summit jar and then headed to Mount John through mostly open woods. The Summit of Mount John is memorable peak, with an old growth forest. After hanging a jar at the H of L, we headed down the steep slope, with some scrambling, back to the parking area.
