The road in past the "plow dump" was extremely icy and dangerous. I skidded pretty badly and only narrowly recovered. |

Patchy ice and snow on Eagle Cut and the beginning of Sunset Ridge. Above treeline there was a ton of ice and snow dusted rock. Many people were doing the hike in microspikes but this looked and felt very unsafe to me. Above treeline we switched to crampons to avoid having to step around the ice patches that were all over the place due to the recent thaw freeze.
