Comments
Comments: Nice day for Killington despite low visibility at the summit. Trail was rock solid with shallow postholes at upper elevations. Bareboot until elevation gain just passed the falls. Micros(Hillsound ultra tc) until the Cooper Lodge then Hillsound trail crampons. Despite the bony conditions mixed with blue ice I felt this was the safest option. As luck would have it I broke one so back to one of each on the descent. It was nice chatting with the hiker working on their 115. It ended up being nice chatting with and singing happy birthday with the skiers in Cooper Lodge that came along as I was having a presummit snack. Happy Birthday Bobby!!. Cooper Lodge is looking pretty rough would like to help rehab if any group has this on their maintenance list. Lmk
