|Date of Hike:
||Saturday, January 28, 2023|
|Parking/Access Road Notes:
||Parking across from the BSA camp for 4 vehicles. The parking area not usually plowed. Thanks to whoever plowed out the parking area. |
||Snow - Unpacked Powder |
|Water Crossing Notes:
||The one Crossing was a combination rock hop in snow and some ice, but not stable.
|Trail Maintenance Notes:
||The trail between the viewpoint or false summit and the summit is not well marked. Several times we had to search for the trail. Red tape marked the trail but was covered in snow in some places. Large blowdown near thlee summit, but was a manageable over and under. |
||Dexter had a great time in the deep snow, but had to be leashed near cliffs at the summit and false summit. |
|Lost and Found:
This was an NEK/GMC hike of six trekkers. Snow levels between 3-4 feet. The trail is now packed out. Lots of snow near the summit, trail is not well marked, but red flagging was very helpful.
