Zero wind and zero views, but a perfect day on CH. Burrows is hard packed. I was first on trail for the day and although there was a dusting of snow overnight there’s no need for snowshoes. The only place perhaps worthy of snowshoes was the Long Trail for the .3 to the summit because of drifting. But everyone on trail was only in spikes (even those carrying snowshoes). Got to meet Mark who has hiked CH over 2000 times. A half dozen other people were ascending as I was coming down. |
