 | Comments: |
Temps above freezing bottom to top and traffic on the trail created a slush fest. Microspikes stayed in my pack though others were using them. I was satisfied with poles. When it gets cold again this could become one icy trail. No other traffic to the Apple (4,060'), my objective (hadn't been there in Nov.). Lake of the Clouds was frozen still. The Chin looked okay from this side, but everyone seemed to be hiking up Profanity Trail today. Light winds, limited views, great day on the mountain in rapidly changing conditions. |
