| Comments: |
Trace/dusting of new snow. Exposed ground at lower elevation. Plenty of running water in the upper half of the Battell Trail. Very little snow at elevation. Between the summits the trail base was solid but riddled with postholes in many locations.
Barebooted to about 1/2 mile below the summit of Abraham, then used microspikes from there out-and-back to Ellen. No need for snowshoes or high gaiters. |
