Comments
Comments: Ski trails were mostly bare below 2,600 feet in elevation. Occasional patches of snow and mud on the work road up to that point, but not too bad.

Above 2,600 feet, there were still extended patches of snow in the shade/north facing areas. Not enough for continuous skiing, but I did see a set of recent tracks on at least one patch. I was able to bareboot without issue (since the snow was packed from ski season), but anything in the woods at elevation would be awful without snowshoes.

I had considered going to the true summit (Long Trail south from the top of the ski area), but since I didn't bring snowshoes, and since the Long Trail is closed for mud season, I didn't bother. I did see evidence of one person postholing deep.

Partly sunny late morning apres ski with temperatures in the 60s. Trout lily in bloom down low. Saw a bear on the run down low.
