Comments
Comments: The Shrewsbury Peak Trail was well blazed and easy to follow, albeit a little more lightly used north of the main summit, from start to finish. The last mile or so was definitely a leg workout, as most of the elevation gain happens during that section; especially watch your steps going down it if the footbed is wet.

Speaking of wet, it rained nearly the entire hike, with only a short lull at the main summit, and it downpoured for most of the hike down. Not quite the scattered showers the forecast called for last night and this morning... In spite of the heavy rain and fog though, it was actually a pretty good hike, and the forest on the mountain, particularly the spruce-fir forest at higher elevation, was actually enhanced by it. Felt mystical, as well as oddly calming and tranquil.
