A dusting-2" of crystalline powder, great microspiking all the way. The snow mantle has melted down on the trees recently, but rime was accreting today again. Went over the top down below the headwall to investigate looping south on the LT but decided against it, climbed back up and met the one person I saw on the hill, a guy who had come up Burrows.
Summit temp 15F at noon, winds about 5mph, visibility 80-100 ft, sun peeking out overhead. |
