Nice snowshoe/ski track all the way (backcountry skiers have been out in force). It's packed for snowshoes but I wouldn't try to boot it. This side of the mountain has received more snow than the Huntington side, with about a foot new at the trailhead and about 18" higher up from the Fri/Sat.(upslope snow all day) storm. Saw just 2 other hikers on this trail. Summit temp 19F a@ 1pm, only windy on the very top, 20-30 mile visibility. Good to have fresh snow ! |
