 | Water Crossing Notes: |
Rock hops or bridges; strategically placed rocks to hop along muddy sections of trail. |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trails in great shape. Cannot remember if I stepped over anything, maybe 1-2. |
|
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Trail would be great for pups. However, the look outs could be dangerous for an unleashed pup because they drop off steeply and pretty quickly. Today there was running water along trail for pups to drink, but less at higher elevations. |

 | Comments: |
First peak of the day working towards the NEK challenge. No one else on trails this AM, and great to hear loons calling while getting ready to head out. Multiple muddy sections required care to get by without getting muddy boots, poles helpful. And, some of the rocks/slabs were a bit wet and slippery. Last 1/4 miles or so was steeper, too. Checked out the view points for vistas west, and off the south trail to the east and south. |
