Trail Maintenance Notes: Trails in fantastic shape. Well blazed in blue (community trail) and yellow (lookout).
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Trails would be easy for most pups. But note, the Lookout trail has sets of metal rungs / steps are attached to the ledge rocks for hikers. Dogs may need to navigate round in the woods on this section of the trail. However, the alternate is to use the Basin Link trail to get back to the Community trail to ascend to the summit.
Bugs
Bugs: Not a problem / Breezy today

Comments
Comments: I continue to be impressed by the trails and peaks in the NE Kingdom Challenge List, and Bluff Mtn. is no exception. What a wonderful shorter hike. It starts in a majestic stand of pine trees with pine needles covering the ground. Then transitions to a very lovely woodland all the way to the summit. The view from the Lookout is pretty good, too. It was hazy and cloudy today, so views were a bit limited. Little mud along the trail, but easy to get around. Rocks were a bit wet and slippery today due to the rains earlier in the AM. See above comments for dogs regarding the wrung ladder approaching the summit on the Lookout trail.
