Comments
Comments: WARNING: There is an active beehive in the side of Butler Lodge between the logs. Saw hundreds of bees going in and out. A woman was stung inside the lodge. Reported to GMC so hopefully they will take care of it. Other than the bees, Butler Lodge is a nice place to visit! Trail was generally moderate with a few steeper sections. Muddy but easily waked through. A few places with water running down the trail but nothing deep. There were a few spots of wet rock that made things a bit slippery. Nice open views to Lake Champlain and the Adirondacks from the porch and a good view of the steep cliffs of the forehead.
