Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Water crossing at 0.8 miles was completely flooded. It was not possible to rock hop. About 25yds upstream was a beaver dam; not sure if this was causing the flooding, but it made a nice bridge to get across. It was not easy to get on top of, and some balance was required, but I got across moving in both directions. All other water crossings were rock hop-able. Plus, in addition to recent trail work, there are numerous new log bridges through muddy sections in the mid-section of the trail (bridges were probably brought up on the old logging roads, not flooded trail).
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trails blazed in blue, looks relatively new. Great recent trail work on the mid-section of trail (between bike trail crossing). Trails were brushed and lightly cleared, and new bridges were in place to avoid soft mud. Final third of trail could sue brushing due to ferns encroaching on the trail (often could not see feet).
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Trails would be east for any experienced hiking dog. They are not steep or ledgey, just a nice forest walk. However, the water crossing at the 0.8 mile point will present a problem for most pups (See notes above regarding this point). If this crossing dries out, there may be several points for the pup to access water on the lower third of the trail.

Comments
Comments: Nice relatively gradual hike. No one else in forest on trails. Several muddy sections that could be avoided by staying on sides of trail, or rocks placed in center of trail, of newly placed bridges. Several sections could use additional brushing; some ferns encroached on the trail obscuring the trail, also made for a wet morning.
