 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
In Lunenburg, I drove Pond Hill road up until the junction with Tug Mountain road. There was room for parking on the side and one of those little signs with the horse you see in this area of VT indicating a trail possibly. You could drive up but I’m not sure where you’d park and this worked for my loop. There are houses along the road and some posted land to avoid. |

Two 2200 footers in VT today, 4 miles and 800 feet for the loop. There are houses near both summits so I tried to stay far away from them. A jar was hung on Tug’s true summit, not too far from the house which had signs on the driveway saying “hunting by permission only.” Temple is a maple operation, no signs anywhere but I walked the gated road to the summit in wet waist-high grass, and there is a house in a big clearing on the true summit, looks vacant, but possibly a good view on a clear day. I walked the roads back to where I parked just as it started to pour. |
