I wanted a new way up Ellen so I took the service road I could see on good satellite map to the summit. It was just under 3 miles of relentless uphill for about 1:30ish minutes. I did a slight jog down which took 38 minutes. I could have parked higher but was not sure where I was going at first. Saw 1 other hiker looked to be doing the same thing. Of course it cleared up once I got down. Still a better day to be on the mountains than on a couch. |
