 | Comments: |
Spikes or bareboots good for the first 2 miles, about 2-4 inches of snow. Snowshoes best once the trail steepens, but still encounter some rocks beneath. Snow 12-18 inches deep from Cooper Lodge to the summit. Last .25 mi on spur trail had deep, unconsolidated snow with some ice beneath, tough going - so steep. Some necessary butt-sliding might have been employed to descend the top steep bit. Brief visit to a windy, socked-in summit. Great day out. |
