Comments
Comments: Trails were bony in a few places, but light snowshoes were the best way to travel, as the powder was not too well consolidated. Generally about 4 to 10 inches of snow, usually at about the mid-point. Saw 7 other folks out this afternoon and all were using snowshoes. The southern approach was barebooted and looked bony.

Beautiful afternoon with blue skies to the east and interesting views (atmospheric phenonium when distant mountain ridges look flat to the south and west) and temperatures in the upper 20s. Very nice views of the Northern Presidentials, Franconias, and Moosilauke.
