Comments
Comments: Gile Mtn via the Firetower Trail. Lots of ice on the trail and trees from this week's ice storm. Many icy branches drooped across the trail--it was like walking through chandeliers. Lots of sticks down on the trail--I removed the larger ones. All surfaces on the firetower covered by 1/4" to 1/2" of ice. Used spikes from the trailhead to the top of the tower & back. Last hike of 2025.
