I was joined by my 8 yr old son Owen and two of his cousins. The lower 2/3 of the trail was fairly dry; for the last 1/3 the ground was still frozen from the overnight low temps. There was also more ice in this section but easily avoidable. I had switched over to my summer boots and was rewarded with moderate snow squalls the last half mile. These unfortunately killed any chance for views from the tower. Saw one other couple. |
