I came upon a very small section of trail(2')that had what I thought was a black powdery substance in small puddles(6"-8"x3"-4").I was gonna take a little sample and when I picked some up with my fingers and looked close,they were actually bugs.The only thing I could think of was massed amounts of snow fleas,w/o snow,bunched together by the millions(literally).If you know what these were,I'm just curious.Firetower views limited by oncoming clouds and rain(finally!)Windy at the top of tower. |
