 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
The access road (Old CCC Road) is gated. Since August is not "winter" I wonder if Hurricane Irene demolished a section of this road (?). At any rate, don't attempt to drive in to the trailhead from the east (as suggested in guidebooks), because the east gate is miles from the trailhead. Instead, come in from the west, where the gate is just a couple hundred feet from the trailhead. |
