The Monroe Trail, Long Trail, and Dean Trail were all in excellent condition.
The term "easy-hiking" can be applied to both the Monroe Trail and Dean Trail. However, the term "moderately-challenging" comes to mind as an apt description for the segment of the Long Trail between the Camel's Hump summit and the Dean Trail. This segment has many "ups & downs" which sometimes includes scrambles over rock that can be slippery even when dry.
